Petra Eloise Manis
Petra Manis is a lifelong musician and music fan. She was fortunate to be aware early on that she had been born with the gift of sensitive and perceptive ears, and she decided as an adult to channel her creativity, keen perception and intellect into making and working with music. She cut her teeth mixing front-of-house and monitors at one of Portland’s best music venues, the Alberta Street Pub, where her great-sounding mixes and professionalism were continually noticed by musicians and fans alike. She continues to mix live sound for local bands such as The Coffers, Stump City Soul, Orchestre L'Pow!, Grupo Masato, and other musicians at various venues around Portland. She is also proud to be a member of the audio team at the Pickathon music festival. Petra herself sings, plays bass, and is learning to play drums—all of which give her insight into connecting with the needs of musicians.
